☀️ Ready for Spring Break? (Check out these 3 Fun Ideas!)
Mar 01, 2023Spring break is just around the corner! Who’s excited?
I know I am! My family will be doing some fun things since my girls will be out of school and we have some time on our hands.
It’s a nice pause in the middle of a busy semester to rest and refocus a bit before finishing out the semester strong.
So, do you have any plans yet?
I know that it can be a little overwhelming knowing what to do and where to go. America is a big place with so many fun options.
If you're looking for something more to do than stay at home and watch Netflix, I have some unique ideas for you.
As a cross-cultural consultant, I like to think of myself as a tour guide for people who are new to America. If you’re wondering what to do, can I take you on a little tour?
Here are three unique places you can go on your Spring break to make it the most memorable one yet!
1. Explore National Parks 🏞️
America has over 420 national parks, making it easy to find unique places to explore and travel. Some of the most well-known include Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the Grand Canyon. Here’s an idea - consider collecting stamps, postcards, or a bumper stickers from the different parks you visit so that you can share them with family and friends.
If you're the adventurous type and are looking to do something different, a road trip with a group of friends to one of these parks is a great way to make lasting memories.

2. Ride the Theme Parks 🎢
If you're a fan of wild rides, thrills, and delicious foods, then a visit to one of America's many theme parks would be a great idea for you and your friends.
You can’t go wrong with a trip to Disney World, Universal Studios, or Six Flags. If you are a big fan of roller coaster rides, this website will help you find a theme park based on your state. They also give a review and in-depth information about their attractions, best directions, and accommodations nearby.
3. Relax at the Beach 🏖️ or in Mountains ⛰️
A good cultural question to ask when you’re trying to figure out what to do in America is asking, “What do Americans do?” And for many Americans, they will take a trip to either the beach or the mountains.
South Texas, California, and Florida are popular destinations for beachgoers, while the Rocky Mountains in Utah and Colorado are popular destinations for those who love the great outdoors. Whether you're a beach person or a mountain person, America has something to offer for everyone!
🔥 Bonus Idea: Boost Your Resume 📝
After relaxing, and soaking up the sun, if you still have some time on your hands, Spring Break is a great time to take on a personal project and boost your resume. You could do a little volunteering, work on a special project, or start a new hobby.
These are some simple ways that could add some more value to your resume and show employers that you're proactive and dedicated to developing your skills, even during your time off!
I hope that this list gave you some ideas to have a memorable Spring Break.
Whether you'll be soaking up the sun with friends or getting some alone time in the woods, I hope that you’ll take this time to do something different and step out of your comfort zone.
America has so much to offer and this is the time to travel, have fun, and make memories that will last a lifetime. But, I want to hear from you....
